CHAPTER - 1

Between ten and eleven o'clock in the night, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation. A very large, dull grey cloud crept ominously across the sky, inching its way toward the moon, threatening to obscure its gentle glow. Zigzags of lightning gleamed sporadically, illuminating the sky with their electric brilliance. Far off in the distance, the low, persistent rumbling of thunder hinted at the storm's impending arrival.

Meanwhile, a wind danced playfully over the grass, bending the trees with its mischievous force and stirring up clouds of dust in its wake. The air was alive, charged with energy, and it was only a matter of moments before the first spurt of rain would herald the true beginning of the storm.
